Women of the World is a cosmopolitan quilting fabric that shows traditionally dressed women from all over the world and from different periods.
These lovely women are shown within white boxes. First there is a fetching Irish lass dressed in plaid and dancing a jig. Right next to her is a Cuban señorita holding a maraca and wearing an exotic outfit reminiscent of Carmen Miranda.
Also on the print are women from even farther away places. There is a woman from Japan dressed in a beautiful kimono looking as though she is about to audition for Madama Butterfly. The woman next to her appears to be from Eastern Europe. Then there is a Swiss mädchen sporting a horn and long golden locks.
This fantastic print shows many more women from around the globe. There is an elegant Frenchwoman dressed in the style of Marie Antoinette and most elegantly coiffed. A Dutch maiden is wearing an unmistakably Dutch hat. An Indian princess looks as though she came straight from a historical Bollywood production.
The diverse styles and cultures of America are also shown on this splendid fabric, from Southern belles to Eskimo and Native American women.
