Tristan & Iseult Hearts Fabric

Literature abounds with famous love stories, many of which ended in tragedy. The most famous love stories have been told for centuries. Nevertheless, they deal with the timeless nature of love.

One story in particular that has captivated listeners is that of Tristan and Iseult. The most famous version of the story was told in music composed by Richard Wagner in his opera Tristan und Isolde. This timeless tale has proven to be a fertile ground for writers and poets; some of the works to incorporate the Tristan story include Alfred Tennyson's The Last Tournament, Matthew Arnold's Tristram and Iseult, and Algernon Charles Swinburne's Tristram of Lyonesse.
