Pierrot was a character of "commedia dell'arte" who went around with his face painted white and wore a white tunic with large buttons. According to one imagining of this character he was given to singing sad songs in places of ill repute.
Since its origin, the (rather dubious) character of Pierrot has served as an inspiration to painters and musicians alike.
Our Pierrot Upholstery fabric has something of the irreverence of this character and hopefully will inspire you. Therefore, it is a fabulous fabric for upholstering furniture in a den, family room or other such casual place where you can sit back and sing sad songs.
