The University of Michigan Wolverines have an illustrious history in football. Throughout the years the Wolverines have forged an impressive string of successes and have created fierce rivalries. Among the accomplishments of the University are winning the first Rose Bowl game in 1902, bringing home 11 national championships and 42 conference titles.

 

The Wolverines football program ranks first in NCAA in total wins (860) and winning percentage (.747). Michigan also owns the longest current streak of consecutive bowl game appearances, having made a trip every year since 1975, a total of 32 years and counting.

Furthermore, the Wolverines hold the records for most winning seasons (109) and most undefeated season (25). Michigan also has a winning record against every Division I-A Conference.

In basketball, the Wolverines have won 1 national championship (1989) and 12 Big Ten regular season conference titles. The Wolverines have made six trips to the Final Four: 1964, 1965, 1976, 1989, 1992 and 1995.

The hockey program is also very prominent and has won nine national championships: 1948, 1951, 1952, 1953, 1955, 1956, 1964, 1996 and 1998.
