Perhaps the most famous lighthouse in history was found near the ancient Egyptian city of Alexandria on the island of Pharos. With its light it guided sailors for hundreds of years, and in doing so gained such fame that it was considered one of the Seven Wonders of the World.
This novelty quilting fabric depicts some of the descendants of the ancient Pharos. The lighthouses are shown within circular frames over a navy background.
The lighthouses themselves also sport varied designs in blue, red, orange, green, brown and black.
