Details

Originally adopted by the 1960’s anti-war movement, then by the CND, and then finally by the popular culture of 1960’s Baby Boomer generation as an international symbol for peace, the peace symbol itself is a combination of the semaphoric signals for the letters “N” and “D” (standing for nuclear disarmament). In semaphore, the letter for “N” is formed by a person holding two flags in an upside-down “V”, and the letter “D” is formed by holding one flag pointed straight up and the other pointed straight down. Superimposing these two signs forms the shape of the peace symbol.

Light Blue Peace Signs Allover Novelty is printed on a slightly firmer 100% cotton and carries a 7 3/8 H, 4 1/8 V  repeat featuring a plethora of  ¼”  aqua peace signs against a chocolate background for your quilting and crafting pleasure.

Mix Light Blue Peace Signs Allover Novelty with other novelty fabric, solid broadcloth or quilted fabric to make great bed sheets, lounge pants, bags and much more with this 45” wide fabric. Throw in your regular wash and dry cycles for quick and easy laundering wash after wash.
