Florida Gators Flannel: Plaid

In football, the Florida Gators participate in famous rivalries with the Florida State Seminoles, the Georgia Bulldogs and the Tennessee Volunteers. The Florida vs. Georgia game has come to be known as "The World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party", a series that Georgia currently leads.

The Florida Gators football squads have won two national titles:

Under the guidance of coach Billy Donovan, the Florida Gators basketball squad has come to rival the football team in prominence. Since Donovan became coach of the Gators in 1996, they have been to three Final Fours which led to three national championship games, two of these trips resulting in national championships.

Basketball national titles:

• 2006: Record: 33-6. Won title game 73-56 over UCLA Bruins.

• 2007: Record: 35-5. Won title game 84-75 over Ohio State Buckeyes
