Duke University's 26 varsity teams have been remarkably successful in their respective sports, particularly the women's golf and men's basketball teams. The Duke women's golf squad alone has won 5 national championships: 1999, 2002, 2005, 2006, 2007.
Nevertheless, the Duke Blue Devils receive the most recognition because of the men's basketball team. In addition, Duke has played in 14 Final Fours and 9 national championship games. Overall, the Blue Devils have the fourth winningest program in men's college basketball.
