The Denver Broncos were founded in 1960 as one of the charter members of the AFL. Though the franchise's early years were characterized by struggles, as it wasn't until the franchise's 14th season that it posted a winning record. Today, however, the Broncos stand as a consistently competitive team. Since the 1970's the Broncos have made 6 appearances in the Super Bowl, winning twice.

The Broncos' first Super Bowl appearance was in 1978. The Broncos were led by quarterback Craig Morton and the Orange Crush Defense. Nevertheless, the Dallas Cowboys came away with a 27-10 victory.

By the mid 1980s the Broncos had John Elway at quarterback. He would lead the Broncos to three Super Bowl appearances in the 1980s, all of them defeats by considerable margins to the Giants, Redskins and 49ers.

Denver returned to the Super Bowl in 1998 and 1999. In addition to John Elway and stalwarts on defense, the Broncos had the benefit of a dominating running back in Terrell Davis. In 1998, the Broncos defeated the Green Bay Packers convincingly by the score of 31-24. In 1999, Denver defeated the Atlanta Falcons 34-19.

The design of the Denver Broncos NFL Fleece: Plaid consists of the Broncos' charging horse-head logo over a plaid background.

The Denver Broncos NFL Fleece: Plaid is a great polar fleece fabric to use for quilts, shirts, jackets, coat linings, carrying bags, bed sheets, bedspreads, blankets, pet clothing and more.

Our Denver Broncos NFL Fleece: Plaid is soft, it dries quickly and it still insulates when wet. Since it is also lightweight, you’ll perspire less when active, making this NFL fleece the perfect fabric for winter sports. Hats, gloves, linings, robes and slippers are other ideal uses for the Denver Broncos NFL Fleece: Plaid.
