Under the romantic streets of Paris exists an extraordinary, 186 mile long complex of catacombs holding the remains of thousands. The tunnels which became the catacombs originated as Roman lime quarries. Toward the end of the 18th-century they were converted into a mass tomb.
These catacombs are the namesake of this morbid quilting fabric. The print consists of skulls and bones over a black background.
