When we at J&O think spring and summer we think color. Everything around this time of year is filled with life. A great way to reflect that vivacity in your home is by adding touches of color to otherwise dreary places. That is why we chose to do this tutorial on how to make your own personalized refrigerator magnets.
Required Materials:

• Scraps of fabric
• Scissors
• Mod Podge glue
• A paint brush (something to apply the Modge Podge with)
• Small magnets
• Hot glue gun
• “Decorative accents”- These tiny glass bead like objects are often used in vases and can be found at any craft store. Make sure that they are flat on one side or else this will not work!
Step 1: Paint the flat side of the accents with the Mod Podge.
Step 2: Place the side covered with glue face down on the side of the fabric that you want to show through.
Step 3: Let the glue dry for about two minutes and then cut the excess fabric off from around the accent.
Step 4: Use your hot glue gun to glue the magnet to the fabric. I have found that it is more effective to put the glue on the magnet and then very quickly put the magnet on the fabric-covered accent. Be sure to firmly press the two together so the magnet dries flush to the accent.
Step 5: The hot glue should dry in about a minute and your magnets will be ready for use!
Creating these five only took me about fifteen minutes. This is a fast, inexpensive way to add a little bit of flair!
