What to do:

  • Cut out five 4” squares of fabric. You are free to make them smaller or larger, this is just an example. The finished product will be 1/2” smaller than the size you cut.
  • First choose the square for the bottom of the coaster and set it to the side.
  • Take the other 4 squares, fold them in half and press neatly.
  • Arrange the pieces as pictured, ensuring the raw edges face the exterior of the square.
  • Place the bottom square over the other assembled pieces facing right-side down. Pin it into place.
  • Stitch around the edge of the coaster, using your presser foot as a guide.
  • There is no need to leave a gap, as you will not be stuffing it. Sew completely around all four edges.
  • When finished, turn over and turn right side out.
  • Press with iron until it looks crisp and neat!
  • Because these are fabric, you can wash them on gentle in the event of a spill!
