It is a rare occasion that I come across a designer who’s creations leave me awed in amazement and speechless with wonder as to how in the world they manifested their imagination in such a way. Today was one of those days.

Occasionally, when an item or product becomes synonymous with the name it’s manufactured under, that name can become a genericized trademark. Despite the best efforts of the companies involved names like Velcro, Google, Clorox, Kleenex, Q-Tip, Band-Aid, and so on have become genericized trademarks. The same has also happened to Naugahyde, a type of vinyl. Not all of our customers may know that naugahyde is simply one manufacturer’s name for their vinyl product.
As winter unfolds beautifully into spring, and God’s little creatures playfully frolic in the welcoming splendor, sun worshipers and nature lovers across America are pulling out their outdoor living furniture for that perfect spot to commune with nature and the entertaining world around them.
Whether it’s a mellow Mala Veranda floral printed recliner or a vibrant Bal Harbor designed patio set in aqua, the opportunity to sit back and relax among friends and family is what it’s all about throughout the spring and summer….and autumn too.
For many of us, our cars are not only our modes of transportation, they are also our ‘babies’ our ‘tried & true’s’, and our ‘can’t do with outs’. So it’s no surprise when we get calls from customers interested in doing customed reupholstering on their Hummers, Beamers, Cady’s and even RV’s. From sunburst yellow vinyl’s to pretty in pink faux furs, the creative juices behind the showcased vehicles is something of an inspiration for interior designers and auto trim professionals alike.
