So we’re just about two weeks into our 2nd Annual Most Amazing Hand-Crafted Costume Contest and the entries are filling our Facebook wall up pretty fast. From cute little children dressed up as  parrots and pizza, to grown folks imitating Frosty and Elvis, the journey into Halloween costume madness is just beginning. With less than two weeks left for our Facebook fans to submit their one-of-a-kind-hand-crafted-creations, there’s no telling what kind of ghoulish freaks and masquerading trick-or-treaters will emerge.
Though the final day to submit all entries may seem far away, time is of the essence so don’t delay! When we think about Halloween, thoughts of ghouls and goblins, witches and warlords, and trick-or-treaters often come to mind. This is the one night in October where all the freaks come out to grab some candy, frighten old ladies, and put enough fear in the hearts of the young and old to last a lifetime. In preparation for the festivities of the night, many gather together in a frenzy of orange and black to bob for apples, feed their faces with every sweet treat under the sun, and parade around town in fashionable hand-made Dora and Spiderman outfits in hopes to win 1st place in the Kindergarten Costume contest. By sundown, these little kiddy boppers are wired up and ready to do some damage in their neighborhoods as they travel door to door in search of more goodies to fill their sugar craving vessels.

Halloween for some is nothing more than a night of inconvenience as little snot nosed children from far and wide seem to flock to your door at the setting of the sun and beg for their fix of red 40, high fructose corn syrup , and of course, that powdered white stuff the FDA calls ‘sugar’. You know, the stuff that makes children’s heads spin and their mouths to run a mile in a minute flat. It’s the stuff that a junkies high is made of, and an addicts low craves for.
