Add beads, initials, stitching and more for more flair to your cuffs
Use this easy fabric cuff tutorial by Nettie from Craftbits to transform your closet into a fashion show this summer:
1. Cut 2 8 ½ x 3 ½ rectangles (adjust sizing for larger or smaller cuffs)
2. Place right sides together and begin a third of the way down the length of the rectangle, stitching the two rectangles together, leaving a 1-inch gap in order to turn to the right side.
3. Before turning, trim around the stitched area. Do not trim the extra from the space left to turn and leave ¼ on each side
4. Turn rectangles to the right side and carefully push each corner out to a point. Tuck in any excess fabric at the turning gap and press neatly.
5. Now you are ready to top stitch the entire rectangle to seal it—and you are finished! Unless you prefer to add a button or snap to your cuff—both of which are a cinch and an easy way to ensure that the cuff will fit perfectly.
