What to do:

  • Decide how long you want the fabric strips and cut them all the same length. You may opt to use pinking shears for a fancier effect! Make sure the strips can easily wrap around the wreath and tie.
  • Decide which order you want the fabrics. You can play around with this step until you decide what looks best. You may wish to cluster all the same strips together, or change it up a bit.
  • You can always add a decoration every few inches or so, like some ribbon or another embellishment to break up the fabric strips! The freedom involved in this simple spring wreath is what makes it so much fun to create!
  • The tying part will take some time, depending on the size of your wreath. Remember, this does not have to be done in one day (unless you waited until the last minute). Tie as many strips as you want, and save some for the following day if you find it overwhelming. This will prevent a sparse wreath.
  • Tip: tie the fabrics while watching a movie or during long road trips!
