Fabric Curtain

This cute fabric table curtain is two-fold: it adds visual appeal and hides unsightly craft storage!

To recreate your own version, you will need the following:

  • Fabric from J&O Fabrics (of course!) Use a print fabric and a solid to make a hem along the bottom, if desired.
  • Fusible webbing
  • Curtain rod (tension rod)
  • Ribbon
  • Thread

What to do:

  • Once you receive your fabric order, the fun can begin! Measure the length of the desk and cut fabric. Double the length of the desk for the fabric measurement, to allow for beautiful bunching and folds.
  • Layer the ribbon and the bottom strip of fabric for the curtain and use the fusible webbing to join the pieces neatly.
  • Layer the bottom piece onto the bottom of the print fabric and topstitch it together or use more fusible webbing, depending on if you prefer a no-sew approach.
  • Create the top loop of the curtain using a 2” fold.
  • That is it! Slip the curtain onto the tension rod and secure it beneath the desk.
  • To achieve the wrap around look, you may need 3 separate rods. You may still slide the same curtain piece over all rods, or you can opt to make a large front curtain with two separate sides. It could be interesting to use a different print fabric for all 3 sides!
