The weather is still quite cold where I live. I often go for a brisk evening walk, braving the cold, just to get a bit of fresh air after spending the entire day indoors. My daughter usually tags along and so our walks require quite a bit of bundling to ensure we stay toasty as the wind whips by. Our fleece scarves, hats and mittens are must-haves for winter’s chill.
There is nothing like making a project with fleece, it’s so soft and warm. I can’t wait to get my hands on some and sport the finished project! Check out some of my favorite novelty fleece below, along with my project to-do list!
This Argyle Pattern Fleece is perfect for the cozy woodsman hat I want to sew for a toddler friend in my life. It seems he’s always wearing shades of green and blue and tromping through the forest. I couldn’t have found a better fleece for him!
I like to keep a blanket in the car during the winter. You never know what might happen when you’re on the road in inclement weather. The Buckaroo Bandanna Fleece with it’s cheery red color is bright enough to stand out in my car full of groceries. It’s also perfect for those old fashion hayrides my family enjoys so much!
What girl doesn’t love pink? My daughter has a matching pink Leopard Tundra Fleece hat, scarf and poncho in her future! I can’t go wrong with this novelty fleece, especially since pink dominates her closet!
Lastly, if I can get everyone else’s projects done, I plan to make a wide scarf and matching ear warmers using this Houndstooth Polar Fleece for myself. I love this fleece because it can go from a casual evening walk to a night on the town easily.
