Hanukkah is more than just a religious holiday, it is a celebration of tradition, culture, and family. Every year, my parents and I make something to bring to my grandparents’ house for the holidays. We are a very creative family, and one of the things that we like to use most to craft with is fabric! These are J&O’s top three favorite Hanukkah themed fabrics that can be used for your craft project this season.
#1: Gold Star of David Fabric
This beautiful accented fabric is perfect for adding a pretty gold touch to your celebration. While this fabric has numerous potential applications, one of our favorite ideas is to use it to make a runner to place under a Menorah. It would accent the candles very nicely and the glow of the flames would look so pretty shining off the gold in the fabric!
#2: Shalom Fabric
This pretty, festive fabric is a little funkier than traditional Hanukkah decorations but that is why we like it! If you are making a gift for a pre-teen or doing crafts with a little one, this is the fabric that we recommend. Nothing gets you into the spirit of the holidays like spending time with family members and making things to decorate the tables during holiday get-togethers. If you need any help figuring out just what kind of kid’s Hanukkah crafts you want to do, check out our latest blog post about it!
#3: Dreidels And Stars Fabric
Our Dreidels and Stars fabric is the most versatile of our top three. Not only can it be used for serious applications like pillows, cloth napkins, and table runners, it can also be used for kid’s crafts. The deep, rich colors makes it bold and the pattern makes it just whimsical enough without being garish. But enough with the shmaltz, you get the idea!
We hope that you enjoy our selections and are inspirited to do a little holiday crafting with your family. If you decide to make something with our favorite Hanukkah fabrics, be sure to take a picture and post it on our Facebook page! We absolutely love to see what our customers come up with at this time of year.
