We’re barely a week into the NFL’s season and already the Eagles’ faithful are fretting over the state of Donovan McNabb’s health. The past few seasons McNabb has experienced a variety of injuries but he often seems to find a way to fight through the pain. This past Sunday afternoon, he fractured a rib on his lower left side, but coach Andy Reid thinks there’s a chance Donovan might play next week against the Saints. The Eagles will be facing a prolific offense with Drew Brees at the helm and could certainly use an effective McNabb. The Saints are coming off a 45-27 thrashing of the Detroit Lions. In the case of both teams next week’s game will be a truer test of their mettle than their first opponents could provide.
Who do you think will win the battle between the Eagles’ stout defense and the Saints’ prodigious offense?
