Little Critters

Every year from age eight to age twelve, I insisted upon being a which for Halloween. I got to paint my face green, run around pretending to ride a broom, and make ‘potions’ in my back yard using everything from sticks to my dad’s hair gel (he just loved that). Looking back on it, I wish that someone had shown me all of my options! If I had known how cool it would be to put on some boxing gloves and a long brightly colored cotton robe and be a kick butt boxer, I totally would have done that. In that spirit, we compiled our top five favorite kid’s Halloween costumes:

Rough Tough Boxer

Knock em’ out with brightly colored cotton for your boxer’s robe.

Radient Rapunzel

A flowing crown can be made with tule or even lace and a princess dress can be something as simple as a white robe accented with ribbon.

Sweet Toothed Waitress

Add a litte collar made out of lace to an old pink shirt and you are on your way to a classic look.

King Of The Jungle Safari Adventurer

Basic khaki pieces are the name of the game for this ensemble!

Rootin’ Tootin’ Cowgirl/ Cowboy

To get this look, layer a gingham shirt with overalls and set it all off by wrapping a bandana around a floppy gardening hat.

We sourced these awesome costumes from a great site called FamilyFun. If you have a picky kid on your hands, let them page through the website themselves to see all of the awesome things that they could be this year.
