Curtains attract attention in a room, whether that is good or bad is entirely up to you! The good news is that you do not necessarily have to be a seamstress to make fun and cutesy kids curtains! The following no sew curtain ideas are great for children’s rooms and play areas. It is a fast and affordable way to jazz up a space with a youthful look and feel. If you are interested in children’s fabric curtains, we have a large selection in our online store! If you have a little sports fan, we have a complete selection of official NFL fabrics that make great curtains.
The photo above shows a mix of ribbon trim and fabric buttons. While the buttons work best when sewn on, the ribbon can be added with a good fabric adhesive or hot glue.
- Fabric buttons. Simple to make and cute to attach to solid color fabric curtains!
- Ribbon. A little fusible webbing is like a magic wand when working with ribbon! Create a cute and colorful trim to brighten up plain Jane curtains.
- Fabric cut-outs. Cut out scraps of other fabrics and use fusible webbing to create your own design! Our NFL fabrics are great for this project!
- Fabric flowers. These are a bit more time consuming, but worth the work! Attaching fabric flowers to curtains adds a whimsical and magical feel to any little girl’s room! There is just something special about the 3D flower effect.
- Pom poms. Like the fabric flower, poms are 3D and add a flair of fun to an otherwise drab drape! The plus: you can spend quality time with your child making the pom poms!
Brighten up solid drapes with a burst of fabric flowers! Just secure them to the curtain with a pin!
Pin on some fun pom poms for a girly effect!

I love the flowers and pompoms! Is there an article on how to do this?
