What a selection of creative costumes our facebook fans have had the pleasure of viewing and judging these last two weeks! Over a month ago we started with sixteen Halloween costume entries that made it into the 3rd Annual J&O Fabrics ‘ Most Creative Handcrafted Halloween Costume Contest ‘ voting bracket, and after all was send and done, we ended with four. Check them out below!
1st Place Winner: Dorthy Lafferty's Fox
For Dorothy, her first attempt at making a costume for her grandson proved to be a great one, and since the model in questions name is Fox, what better costume to cloak him in than one. Using white and animal print faux fur along with a hat stuffed with a blend of soft cotton, the young Fox was voted into first place earning Grandma Dorothy the 1st Place Grand Prize, a $50 J&O Fabrics gift card to use as she pleases and just in time for the holidays. Congratulations Ms. Dorothy Lafferty!
2nd Place: Dawn Anderson's Pretty Peacock
Dawn Anderson’s adorable model paraded as a Peacock in a dress made from colorful aqua and green tulle with satin ribbon straps, peacock feathers, and handcrafted satin flowers with pearls and buttons sewn on. A beautiful Halloween costume that earned Dawn her 2nd Place status and $25 in free fabric winnings. Congratulations Ms. Anderson!
3rd Place: Lyssa Bartel's Queen Anne Boleyn Costume
For the other Boleyn sister, Lyssa Bartel designed this 16th Century tudor style costume dress after the fashion of Queen Anne herself , yet instead of her fighting for the love of Henry III, she was fighting for an even better reward…the win! Coming in at 3rd place and taking home a $10 J&O fabrics gift certificate to adorn her royal vessel in the future, we congratulate Lyssa!
