First, let’s take a look at some of the changes to team personnel. By far the most impacting change was Donovan McNabb’s departure after 11 successful seasons to division rival the Washington Redskins. New signal caller Kevin Kolb has considerable shoes to fill as heo goes into the season as the undisputed starter.

On other fronts the Eagles defensive line will have some new faces in the rotation including rookies Jeff Owens, Daniel Te’o-Nesheim and Brandon Graham. Graham was the Eagles number one overall pick in the 2010 draft.

On the offensive side rookie wide receiver Riley Cooper has been capturing attention with his quick hands. Other new faces include rookie running back Charles Scott and backup quarterback Mike Kafka.

Most important is that many of the Eagles’ young players have looked particularly speedy and athletic. Both sides have been infused with some new and younger blood that give the Eagles some much needed depth for the long grind of the regular season and, hopefully, playoffs.
