At J&O Fabrics we are constantly running coupons, sending out gift cards, and even giving away free fabric. As such, one of our lucky customers became a recipient of a $50 gift card that she won through a cool giveaway we ran on our Facebook page. With it, Connie Lawton Andrade purchased several fabrics along with enough yardage to make a fun Bucket Bag for the summer to add to her already creative inventory of Isidora Designs bags found on Etsy. When asked what inspired her recent manifestation, Connie had this to say.
” I read in fashion magazines that fruit was going to be popular this season and I was in search of a new pattern/design. I enjoy designing bags and purses and I felt the only style that would compliment this print would be a large, fun bag so I tried it. I was inspired by my Hobo style bags since they make a great accessory to throw any and everything into; and so my Bucket Bag was born.”
What kinds of materials did you use to make it?
” The interior of the bag is made of a durable micro suede that drapes well with the cotton and adds body to the bag. Another great feature is that you just need to wipe the micro suede down to clean. The shell is made from a soft, 100% cotton lemon print fabric with big, bold yellow lemons and an ebony backdrop.”
