A Latin based symbol of writing that varies in shape, size and execution depending on the one who is writing, our English alphabet ironically serves as both our fundamental building block for communication and our greatest frustration when teaching the formulation of words containing silent letters, inconsistant sound vibrations and dual meanings. Makes us here at J& O Fabric Store wonder how our brains ever mastered it enough to communicate effectively to begin with.
Yet and still, we love our alphabet. We sing songs about it, write love letters with it, answer life’s most puzzling questions and most challenging riddles by filling in squared boxes and blank spaces one symbol at a time, and are proud of it. This is our 26 lettered, 6 voweled, the rest consonants alphabet, and it’s not going anywhere.
So in ode to our Olde English alphabet, its modification over the years, and our own selection of alphabet themed fabric prints, we’ve written a little rhyme featuring our infamous A, B, C ‘s and their relationship to some of our most popular fabric catagories.
A Tribute to the Creation of You.
