Wrapping a vase, especially a clear one, with fabric is a fantastic way to show off a pretty print. Any shape vase or package can be wrapped. For an example, see the instructions below for a vase with straight sides.

Wrapping a flower vase: (with straight sides)

  • Cut a rectangle of decorative fabric to fit around it, leaving a ½ inch overlap
  • Use double-stick tape to secure a vertical edge of the fabric to the vase, then wrap it around and secure with a sturdy fabric glue
  • Be cautious not to go crazy with the glue, you do not want tacky drips ruining your fabric!

Use the above tips for a secure hold. If you are wrapping a rounded vase, cut the fabric into an even strip, fold the edges under on each side to hide them, then secure it to the vase. Now your sweetheart will have a special vase to use each time they are given flowers!
