This is a simple fabric trick that anyone can use to add a bit more flair to flowers and gift for your loved ones! The best part: This is a no-sew, no-sweat cinch! Just select a few adorable decorative fabrics from your friends at J&O Fabrics, and use them to wrap around flower vases and gift packages! Paper wrapping is okay, but fabric is simply richer!
Wrap your gifts and flower vases with fabric for a more quality appeal. The simple touch adds impact and will make the recipient feel special!
Wrapping a vase, especially a clear one, with fabric is a fantastic way to show off a pretty print. Any shape vase or package can be wrapped. For an example, see the instructions below for a vase with straight sides.
Wrapping a flower vase: (with straight sides)
- Cut a rectangle of decorative fabric to fit around it, leaving a ½ inch overlap
- Use double-stick tape to secure a vertical edge of the fabric to the vase, then wrap it around and secure with a sturdy fabric glue
- Be cautious not to go crazy with the glue, you do not want tacky drips ruining your fabric!
Use the above tips for a secure hold. If you are wrapping a rounded vase, cut the fabric into an even strip, fold the edges under on each side to hide them, then secure it to the vase. Now your sweetheart will have a special vase to use each time they are given flowers!
