Looking for a fun family craft for the kiddos or perhaps a bright addition to a nautical theme? Grab some felt fabric from J&O and make these cute starfish in a flash! These would look cute with some sea rope and shells, or as pillows for a mermaid-themed child’s room, the ideas are endless.
These felt starfish are cute and look great in any color. Make a pile and sea how much fun it is!
You will need:
- One or more colors of felt fabric. You can make several colors and group them together, they certainly do not have to be just orange!
- Pattern below
- Sewing machine or mad skills
- Wool stuffing or preferred fill
- Sequins or other embellishments as desired. Buttons could be cute along the arms. Fancy stitching along the arms would add a nice touch!
What to do:
- Use the pattern to cut out 2 sides, this will make one starfish
- No need to add a seam allowance, the pattern is full size.
- Blanket stitch around, securing both sides together leaving a gap to stuff.
- Stuff gently and finish sewing closed
Use a variety of felt colors
Embellish with beading, any color!
