What to do:

  • Cut out 32 rectangles using your base color
  • Use the template to cut out desired numbers, shapes or letters for your set of felt flash cards. These will need to be in a different color than you selected for the base!
  • Pro-tip: If you want to make a memory game, be sure to cut two of each letter!
  • Applique the numbers to the lower portion of the felt squares, stitching around the outside of the digit
  • Apply fusible interfacing to the wrong side of each piece appliqued for more strength
  • Now stitch the plain felt square backing to the appliqued side, close to the edge.
  • Finally, add the eyelet or grommet to each flash card in the corner of choice. Make sure to use the same corner for each card!
  • Attach them to the metal ring for easy storage!
