These felt Easter eggs are a bright touch to hang around the house for the holiday! Our felt fabric comes in a variety of colors and is always a hit to use for kids crafts. Find decorative buttons and thread at your favorite crafting outlet, grab some soft felt fabrics from J&O and get ready to leave these cute eggs for the Easter Bunny this year!
You will need:
- Bright and cheerful felt fabrics from your friends at J&O!
- Assorted buttons
- Ribbon
- Coordinating or contrasting thread
- Fiberfil or preferred cotton stuffing
- Tissue paper
What to do:
- Draw your pattern to desired size on tissue paper
- Trace pieces of the egg pattern onto the felt fabric
- Cut out the pieces from the felt fabric
- Take the pieces you want to be the front of the egg and the back of the egg and stitch them together, leaving space to turn and fill. Turn egg right side out, leaving the bottom open to fill. You will be adding the ribbon hanger to the top, so leaving the bottom open for filling is ideal.
- Next, sew the top and bottom colors onto your egg using a decorative stitch
- When the felt pieces are all on, sew the buttons on. Note: you may use decorative ribbon or other embellishments in place of the buttons if preferred.
- Adding the ribbon: Fold the ribbon in half and sew one side to the top front of the egg and the other to the top back of the egg
- Finally, fill the egg and sew it closed!
These cute little egg hangers are fun to hang around the house for Easter and place in gift baskets! Share your holiday tips and ideas with us on Facebook!
