Love the look of the one-shoulder top? Then you will love this simple tutorial from Jennifer of ‘Two Butterflies’, who fashioned her own example using an old, boxy tee! If you prefer, you may begin with fresh fabric from our online fabric outlet (just follow link and get lost in the possibilities!).
The one-shoulder look is hot this season, adding a fashionista appeal to any frame
Pro-tip: If you are going to use an old tee, make sure it is several sizes larger to allow for elastic gathering! Do not allow the open shoulder to sag too low-it is more flattering just beneath your arm, covering the bra strap (unless you happen to be a Victoria’s Secret supermodel, in which case, anything works!).

1. Lay shirt flat and cut one sleeve off with a straightedge. (Mark place to cut prior)
2. Try on shirt and mark necklace with pins
3. Cut neckline and sew side seam
4. Create a casing around your neckline and add elastic to size, adjusting to fit and hold shirt in place
5. If you wish, you may opt to add an elastic waistline to add shape to your shirt
