The baubles lining the shelves at area malls are typically mass-produced and boring, so why not jazz the wardrobe up a notch with unique handmade items like this fabric button bracelet? The following craft tutorial will show you how to recreate your own version, step by step! Begin by browsing our online fabric store for the perfect colors and prints.

You will need:
• An assortment of fabric swatches, the more the better to create vivid and versatile pieces!
• Scissors or pinking shears
• Buttons. A variety of shapes and sizes will offer maximum options for bracelets and/or necklaces
• Elastic strips
• Hot glue gun or needle and thread, depending on your skill set

What to do:
• Wrap the elastic around the wrist and add an inch, mark the spot
• If this will be a no-sew project, simply glue the elastic securely with a hot glue gun. Otherwise, stich the overlapping elastic together with thread.
• Now it is time to make the buttons! Lay your fabric selections flat and decide which pieces would make great buttons (see photo). Carefully cut them out around the buttons, leaving enough fabric to glue all the way around the face and edges of it.

• While the glue is still warm, flip the button upside down and press it around to ensure a firm finish.
• To finish the bracelet, you may stitch each button to the elastic band or use hot glue.
• Viola! Now the addiction has begun, and you are ready to create a basket full of vibrant bracelets for fall!
