Why not send some cuteness their way?
Elizabeth recommends a set of six with a cute pen and a set of stamps. Tie with a bow to complete the appealing appearance and voila—instant and compelling communication with your loved ones with no vacation necessary!
You will need:
• One 4×5 rectangle of fast2fuse double-sided fusible stiff interfacing
• One 4 ½ x 5 ½ inch rectangle of plain or solid fabric
• One 4 ½ x 5 ½ inch rectangle of contrasting fabric
• One package of ¼ inch double bias tape in complementary color
• Embroidery thread or peel-n-stick adhesive (optional)
• An iron
What to do:
• Embroider line down center of fabric rectangle that will be on the side you write on. You can use peel-n-stick adhesive to make the line on the postcard
• Sandwich stiff interfacing between fabric and iron
• Trim excess edges of fabric until even
• Cut strips of bias tape—2 for the length and 2 for the width of the rectangle
• Now sandwich fabric edges into bias tape and secure with fabric glue or adhesive to attach all 4 pieces of bias tape. Tip: Add some hand stitching if it looks appealing to you to add security
