Languid breezes, vaporous memories and gossamer spider webs are not things usually associated with fabric. Nevertheless, at J&O Fabric we carry various fabrics which seem to convey exactly those images and feelings.
Take, for example, Printemps perdu (flo00034) with its tenuous design and delicate colors. The pattern includes an illegible, decorative text reminiscent of letters yellowed by the years. Another designer fabric that manifests similar characteristics is Monet Floral (flo00005) which looks like a painting by an Impressionist master with its pale shades of purple and green.
Other fabrics we are highlighting with this blog exude a slightly decadent style. These fabrics are reminiscent of the fin de siecle salons of Paris where coteries of poets, painters and musicians would gather. The diaphanous grace of these decorator fabrics will translate wonderfully into draperies and other decorative items.
Perhaps you would prefer something more sedate than the previous fabrics. In that case, Rose Remembered (flo00070) is the perfect print. Over a sand colored background there are flowers and butterflies in a dimly remembered garden.
