Decoupage makes any craft easier—even when using fabrics. The clear medium coats surfaces to make fun collages, ornaments, photo frames and any other item one can dream up. Choose an arsenal of fabrics for this season, and break out the decoupage anytime the mood to craft strikes!
Don’t get glued to the tv set with boredom—decoupage during those rainy days
If you are a beginner, start by practicing with fabric decoupaging on a flat surface, such as a shoebox lid. It will behave a bit different with fabric than with paper, but the end result will be worth it, as fabric provides a richer feel and finish than paper can provide. Bonus: no more fear of paper tearing mid-craft!
Fabric is flexible and durable, ideal for decoupage crafting
Because fabric molds easily to objects, it is possible to recover an old purse with your favorite new fabric print and some decoupage. Sometimes less is more, so it helps to visualize the bag or purse beforehand and decide if just a panel would be enough. If it is a larger beach bag, go nuts and cover the entire tote.
Pro-tip: Make sure the surface of whatever is going to be covered is first cleaned of dust particles. Allow projects to dry overnight before use.
