There is no need to overspend on the adorable but pricey cork boards found at department stores. It is easy to make your own personal version with a decorative fabric that you really love for a fraction of the price! This is yet another no-sew project to spruce up your work space and organize in style. Pro-tip: Make several boards with coordinating fabrics and arrange them in a collage on the wall. This will serve as cute décor and a space to pin things besides Pinterest.
Fabric cork board craft ideas
You will need:
- Any size cork board. Get a few boards and arrange them on the wall, as pictured above. This is a decorative way to keep track of multiple things.
- Enough fabric to cover the size desired (measure the corkboard and add a couple of inches to all sides).
- Fabric glue or staples
What to do:
- Place the decorative fabric face down on a flat surface
- Lay the corkboard over the back of the fabric and mark where to cut the fabric, 2 inches larger than the board on all 4 sides.
- Carefully cut the fabric
- Next, coat the board with glue and gently adhere the fabric, pulling the excess snugly around toward the back
- Finish by gluing the fabric to the back or using staples
- It is just that easy to add pops of color and functionality to the walls!
