Here is another fun idea for storing credit cards, business cards and gift cards! This can also serve as a cute fabric girly wallet. Find your decorative fabric prints here and follow the instructions below to create your version of this sweet craft!
Use our NFL fabric for your sports fans!
You will need:
- Two pieces of fabric, feel free to mix and match! 6” x 4.5”
- Another piece of fabric 6” x 4” for the inner pocket
- One piece of interfacing 6” x 4.5”
- A cute button or snap
- Coordinating thread
What to do:
- Press fabrics first. Attach the interfacing to the outer fabric piece (the 6 x 4.5 fabric).
- Next, fold the pocket fabric down ¼” and then ¼” again, pin and sew
- Layer the fabric pieces with the lining piece right side up on the bottom. The pocket will be on the outside.
- If you want to use a rubber band for the closure hook, position it half way into the fabric. The snap closure is the easiest option.
- For the pony tail closure, place much of the band into the fabric and pull the band around entire holder
- For a simple snap closure, you may add it at the end
- Once the closure is in position, lay the outer piece of fabric on the top with its interfacing attached. Pin and sew, right side down over the pocket. Leave entire bottom open.
- Trim and turn and press
- Finally, topstitch around entire finished product and add snap! Wasn’t that a snap?
