Chic Fabric Storage: The Shadowbox Overshadows All?

While there will likely always be spools of random fabrics draped and ducked behind…well, anything…the shadowbox is a superb way to show off your current favorite fabrics or fabric collections!

Suddenly, your scrap stash takes on a fresh feel!

There are a multitude of methods to accomplish a fabric wall display, but what is more simple to show off than a shadowbox? Opinions welcomed!

This is an avalanche waiting to happen!

I do not have step-by-step instructions to recreate this shadowbox, but it appears simple enough and is perhaps available for purchase online somewhere (because, really, what isn’t?). Just make or buy a shadowbox, and then roll your fabrics (cut to the height of the frame) inside! It is a chic cinch!

So much…plastic. This method can be great inside a walk-in closet, but a craft room should feel more creative!

Is your craft area feeling a bit drab? Use several shadowboxes to cover the walls, it not only looks fantastic, but serves as an inspiration to make great things!

Pro-tip: Add a glass outer layer to protect your fabrics from dust and fading! Ensure that the glass is easy to remove, so that you may change the patterns in your shadowbox as often as you wish.
