This itty-bitty mouse is just too irresistible to avoid! I am picturing it using a variety of different fabrics, which you can find here at our online fabric store! This could be used as a pincushion or similar sewing stow, and it is a far-from cheesy gift idea!
Say cheese! Adorable fabric mouse craft with oversized ears
You will need:
• A few (at least two!) fabrics from J&O Fabrics (of course!)
• Felt fabric for the ears, tail and nose (also in stock)
• Fabric Scissors/Shears
• Sewing skills
• Cotton stuffing (or your preferred material)
• Pro-tip: Stuff with scented material!
What to do:
• Use the template to cut out the fabric. You may opt to enlarge it for a bigger mouse, or vice versa.
• Cut out ears and tail using your felt fabric
• Fold the body fabric in half, placing right sides together and stitch. Use a decorative stitch for a more artsy effect. (25cm length of cord inside at top corner, and leave space for turning).
• Fold bottom corner and stitch 2cm
• Next, turn the mouse right side out and stuff
• Sew the mouse closed securely
• All ears? Good. Now fold in the sides of the ears and hand stitch to the mouse
• Add a tail and cute google eyes to complete your creature! And please, share yours on our Facebook page!
