Currier and Ives was a
printmaking firm founded in the 19th century by Nathaniel Currier and
James Merritt Ives. Although at the firm's peak they were producing
more than half a million prints, improvements in offset printing and
photoengraving evetually forced the company to close shop in 1907.
The distinctive lithographs made by Currier and Ives are now
represented at J&O Fabrics in the Steam Engine series of
fabrics. The design of Steam Engines Fabric consists of steam
locomotives chugging along. Prominent colors in the print include
yellow, red, gray and green.
Steam Engines Fabric is perfect for
curtains, blankets, wall hangings, Hawaiian shirts, carrying bags, bed
sheets, bedspreads, crafts, pet clothing and more. This designer fabric
will add a vibrant and fun dimension to your fabric projects.
