The Atlanta Falcons joined the NFL in 1966 as an expansion
team. The team's first draft pick was linebacker Tommy Nobis from LSU. He would
be one of the team's bright spots during its early years as he made five Pro
Bowls between 1967 and 1972. It wouldn't be until 1971 that the team had its
first winning season.
The Falcons have made the playoffs eight times throughout the
organization's history, with the best season being 1998. Driven by the 1,846
rushing yards of Jamal Anderson, the Falcons compiled a stellar 14-2 record.
During the playoffs, the Falcons first dispatched the San Francisco 49ers 20-18.
Next, the Falcons prevailed 30-27 against the high-scoring Minnesota Vikings.
The win propelled Atlanta to Super Bowl XXXIII, where the Falcons lost 34-19 to
the Denver Broncos.
In 2001, the Falcons drafted quarterback Michael Vick with
the #1 overall pick. With Vick, the Falcons had one of the most exciting young
talents at the helm of the team. During his time with the team Vick twice led
the Falcons to the playoffs, including the Conference Championship gamer in 2003
versus the Philadelphia Eagles. The game resulted in a 27-10 defeat for the
Falcons.

The design of the Atlanta Falcons NFL Fleece: Allover
consists of the team's stylized hawk logo over a white background.
The Atlanta Falcons NFL Fleece: Allover is a great polar
fleece fabric to use for quilts, shirts, jackets, coat linings, carrying bags,
bed sheets, bedspreads, blankets, pet clothing and more.
Atlanta Falcons NFL Fleece: Allover is soft, it dries quickly
and it still insulates when wet. Since it is also lightweight, you’ll perspire
less when active, making this NFL fleece the perfect fabric for winter sports.
