The Carolina Panthers entered the league in 1996 along with
the Jacksonville Jaguars as an expansion team. With the help of free agency, the
Panthers were able to field a much more prepared team for their first season.
The Panthers' first game was a pre-season victory against the Jaguars in the
Hall of Fame game. The Panthers finished with a very respectable 7-9 record.
The following season, the Panthers realized the promise they
had shown the previous season. The Panthers rode a seven game win streak to a
12-4 final record and the top spot in the NFC West. In only the team's second
season, they not only made the playoffs but advanced to the NFC Championship
game, where they fell to the eventual Super Bowl champion Green Bay Packers.
The Panthers' next appearance in the NFC Championship game
would result in the team's first Super Bowl birth. Super Bowl XXXVIII (38)
began as a defense dominated contest, but in the fourth quarter switched gears.
Eventually, the Patriots would win the game 32-39.
The design of the Carolina Panthers NFL Fabric: Allover
consists of the team's roaring panther logo over a black background.
The Carolina Panthers NFL Fabric: Allover is a great cotton
fabric to use for quilts, shirts, jackets, jacket linings, carrying bags, bed
sheets, bedspreads, hats, pet clothing and more.
