When the Ravens started play in
When the Ravens started play in 1997, over 13 years had
passed since the Colts had surreptitiously left town. Although the city had was
home to a franchise from the Canadian Football League, many of Baltimore's
residents pined for a NFL team to root for. With the move of the Cleveland
Browns to Baltimore, the city finally had another NFL team. Nevertheless, the
storied history of the Browns was to remain in Cleveland until another Browns
team could be formed.
From 1997 to 1999 the team suffered through inconsistent play
and did not make the playoffs. Things turned around in 2000, as the Ravens
defense established itself as one of the best in the history of the game. The
Ravens' defense established the record for fewest points allowed over a 16 game
season with only 165 scored against them.
Once the playoffs started, the defense continued to shine in
three consecutive road wins that allowed the Ravens to advance to Super Bowl
XXXV. The Ravens won the Super Bowl in dominating fashion 34-7 over the New York
Giants.
The design of the Baltimore Ravens NFL Fabric: Allover
consists of the team's raven head logo over a black background.
The Baltimore Ravens NFL Fabric: Allover is a great cotton
fabric to use for quilts, shirts, jackets, jacket linings, carrying bags, bed
sheets, bedspreads, hats, pet clothing and more.
