ILoveLucy
I Love Lucy was a
landmark show in the history of television, still fresh and funny some
fifty years after the show ended its run. The show followed the antics
and adventures of Lucy Ricardo (Lucille Ball), her husband Ricky (Desi
Arnaz), and their friends Fred and Ethel Mertz (William Frawley and
Vivian Vance). The series ran for six seasons, from 1951 to 1957 and
has influenced countless other television shows.
Now I Love Lucy
is making the transition from the television to your fabric
projects with the I Love Lucy line of novelty fabrics. Lucy Chocolate
Factory Stripes Fabric is one of the designs in this series.
This designer fabric highlights one of the many classic Lucy episodes -
when Lucy and Ethel switch places with Fred and Desi by working at a
chocolate factory. The conveyor belt scene in particular is one of the
most well-known and most-parodied in television history. This episode
was the fourth of the second season and the thirty-ninth overall. The
design of Lucy Chocolate Factory Stripes Fabric is composed of
Lucy and Ethelworking on the conveyor belt while Desi and Fred futilely
attempt to handle things back home.
Lucy Chocolate Factory Stripes Fabric has a railroaded pattern; this
means that the design runs sideways instead of up the roll. The width
of the fabric runs from the top of the picture towards the bottom.
Lucy Chocolate Factory Stripes Fabric is a perfect fabric for
curtains, blankets, wall hangings, Hawaiian shirts, carrying bags, bed
sheets, bedspreads, crafts, pet clothing and more. This designer fabric
will add a whimsical dimension to your fabric projects.
