The University of Georgia Bulldogs participate in three of
the most heated rivalries in college football with the Auburn Tigers, the
Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets and the Florida Gators. The first is known as the
"Deep South's Oldest Rivalry" and the second as "Clean, Old-Fashioned Hate", and
the third as "The World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party".
The Georgia Bulldogs are officially recognized as having two national
championship seasons in football: 1942 and 1980. In addition, the Dawgs were
recognized as national champions in various polls in 1927, 1946 and 1968.
Furthermore, the Bulldogs have won 12 SEC championships.

The men's and women's tennis teams are among the best in the
nation. Between them, the tennis squads have won 9 national championships and 31
SEC titles.
In all, Georgia has won 32 national championships and 125 SEC
championships in various sports.
