Over the course of a
long career Norman Rockwell established himself as an iconic
illustrator. Nowhere was his work better displayed than in the Saturday
Evening Post, where he worked for over forty years. Today, over thirty
years after Rockwell's passing, his images of everyday people engaging
in common activities are as warm and inviting as ever.
Rockwell's influence has been felt in movies, illustration and many
areas of popular culture. His paintings and illustrations have even
inspired a line of fabrics. Four Freedoms Panel is one
fabric displaying details from Rockwell's famous Four Freedoms
illustrations that appeared in the Saturday Evening Post in 1943. The
design shows four squares, within which is one of the works depicting
the Four Freedoms: Freedom of Speech, Freedom of Worship, Freedom from
Want, and Freedom from Fear.
Four Freedoms Panel is a great fabric for a variety of uses.
