The University of Hawaii Warriors football program has a
history of fielding high voltage offenses that ride on the arms of prolific
quarterbacks. Former quarterback Timmy Chang became the NCAA's all-time leading
passer with 170,072 yards and 117 touchdowns while completing 57% of his passes.
Chang's successor, Colt Brennan, now owns the NCAA record for touchdown passes
in a season with 58, as well as 18 other NCAA records.
The high scoring offenses instituted by coach June Jones have
made the Hawaii Warriors one the most successful schools in the Western Athletic
Conference. During Jones's tenure the Warriors have compiled a 71-40 record,
including a conference record of 43-24.
