J&O Crafty Customer: Jenny’s Angels

As our Facebook Fan page continues to grow, more and more of our crafty customers are showing off  their cool creations for our J&O family and community to view, share and comment on. One such fan is Karen Jordan of Jenny’s Angels, a line of custom made aprons and christening outfits designed in honor of Karen’s best friend Jenny who passed awaiting a kidney transplant. For Karen, all babies are angels, and since her line is named for Jen, a portion of every design sold is donated to the American Diabetes Foundation in her name . Jenny also loved butterflies, so on all of Karen’s custom christening gown designs there is a butterfly somewhere. Since Karen is a religious follower of our J&O Fabrics  acebook page, she is constantly replenishing her fabric stock with cool prints from our store and has this to say about our fabulous collection of Michael Miller prints and more…

With summer quickly passing by and sun worshipers trying desperately to slow her pace down, many find themselves scrambling to prepare for one of the seasons biggest festive occasions… the Fourth of July.

Celebrated on that day with fireworks, cook outs, commemorations, and trips to the shore, Independence Day offers a time for reflection, human connection, great food and so much more. At J&O we keep our special occasion fabrics stocked year round for our quilters and artisans to gather and coordinate their projects and quilts well before the rush. Here are a few such popular themed prints and designs to fit the holiday theme and offer nostalgia.

J&O Crafty Customer: Isidora Designs

jandofabricsAt J&O Fabrics we are constantly running coupons,  sending out gift cards, and even giving away free fabric. As such, one of our lucky customers became a recipient of a $50 gift card that she won through a cool giveaway we ran on our Facebook page.  With it,  Connie Lawton Andrade purchased several fabrics along with enough yardage to make a fun Bucket Bag for the summer to add to her already creative inventory of  Isidora Designs bags found on Etsy. When asked what inspired her recent manifestation, Connie had this to say.

J&O Customer Poll: Top 10 Loved Fabrics

As a fabric lover who also works at a fabric store, I am privy to not only the latest and hottest top shelf fabrics as soon as they come off the truck, but a plethora of textiles that I may not normally have come in contact with along my journey. From popular new novelty cotton prints for 2011, to elegant mid-century Maharam decorator designs, if you were to ask me to list my favorite, it might just take a few days. But such a question shouldn’t go to waste , and so the crew at J&O Fabric Store decided to let our curiosity be fed as we posed this poll to our fabulous facebook fans. Afterall, knowing what our craft customers like most, gives us an idea of which fabrics we should purchase more of to keep our customers satisfied. With so many fabric-holics as fans of our J&O facebook page, it didn’t take any time at all for the feedback to start pouring in. From faux furs and brocades to Michael Miller and Amy Butler, the selection was as diverse as the people who voiced them.
