Today, almost all of the Fabric store chains are disappearing. We her at J & O Fabrics would like to know how to keep the textile industy alive. Today we are reaching out to fabric customers across the world. Customers are the best people to help the fabric industry understand what changes need to be put in place. At J & O Fabrics we base most of our business on what the customer needs. Example, if a few customers ask for a certain fabric that we do not carry we take it upon ourselves to find a manufacture to supply us with that type of textile.
J & O Fabrics would like to be a store that represents the sewing industry. What do we need to do in order to help you as a customer want to continue to shop at our store or on our website? We also want your insight on what you like about other fabric store website along with fabric stores that you visit. You can use this blog to either vent your frustration or add comments to help us change to suit your needs.
Happy Sewing,
J & O Fabrics

Hi,
I just found you online. What I want is to be able to buy fabric and two months later, if I want it again, I can find it! That might be a tall order, I don't know, but that has been frustrating. I also hate how at the big stores the women who work there act like they are too busy for you OR if you ask a question (wanting to learn) they talk down to you.
Thanks!

I love your store and I love everything that I have purchased from you so far. The one thing I want is to see all the OUT OF STOCK novelty fabrics back IN STOCK!!! I will buy them if you have them...especially the spacegirl pinups!

Right now we are in the process of implementing on our site a system when an product is out of stock you can put in the amount of yards needed and your email address. Once an item gets marked in stock you get an email notification.

My favorite online fabric store is iluvfabrix.com http://www.iluvfabrix.com/products.php . They have over 7,000 designer fabrics http://www.iluvfabrix.com/products.php in stock and they are all sold way below wholesale. They have tapestry fabric http://www.iluvfabrix.com/upholstery-fabric/tapestry-fabric/8.htm and great silk fabric http://www.iluvfabrix.com/upholstery-fabric/silk-fabric/10.htm and they also have a designer/decorator on staff to help you with your designer fabric purchases. Hope this helps.

Hi,
We just checked out that website and are a bit surpised. Alot of the fabrics on their site are $30-$90 per yard. It is a beautiful site but price wise I am not quite sure if they sell below wholesale?
Let me know what you think,

Yes....the fabric prices generally start at around $20.00 per yard on iluvfabrix http://www.iluvfabrix.com/products.php but the retail price on that $20.00 per yard fabric is generally over $100.00 per yard. The prices on iluvfabrix are one fifth the designer per yard price for that fabric. iluvfabrix sells very high end designer fabrics http://www.iluvfabrix.com/products.php that sell through designers from over $100.00 per yard to well over $750.00 per yard, and every one of the fabrics is waaaay below wholesale. So if you are comparing iluvfabrix to most other low to moderate end fabric stores, you are comparing apples with oranges. iluvfabrix is a store to go to if you want the Best of the Best designer fabrics at below wholesale cost.
