Going into an antiques store always raises the expectation of finding something spectacular for a great price. Besides the adventure of it, there is another allure to antiques and antique stores; the back story of the pieces, the cramped spaces overflowing with objects redolent of age and history, the images of how certain items would look in our homes. And if you find a piece that you like, you consider yourself very fortunate indeed.
Unfortunately though, purchasing antiques often involves restoration work that robs time from what we would rather be doing, namely, coordinating the item or items with what we already have. One of the concerns which can easily become complicated and time consuming is the selection of the right fabric for decoration or upholstery. Mariposa, on the other hand, is a delightfully elegant fabric which doesn't take itself too seriously.
